While prior mock trial or debate experience can certainly be beneficial, it is not required. Many of our members join the team without any previous experience, and we teach all the fundamentals you need to succeed. All you need is an interest in the activity and a willingness to learn!

Not at all. Mock trial welcomes students from all majors. Our team includes students interested in law, business, politics, theater, science, and many other fields.

We typically have two practices a week (around five hours total). The time commitment increases leading up to competitions, but the schedule is designed to be manageable alongside academics.

We typically have two competing teams each season. Team placements are decided by our coaches based on factors such as performance at tryouts, commitment during practices, and overall team needs.

We usually compete at universities across Texas, but competitions can take place all over the country.
